Bradford on Avon and Westwood garage cluster TWO

All properties in Westwood and Bradford on Avon completed in March 2016 by Ken Biggs Contractors Ltd, the approved contractor.

The mixture of homes include 4 x 2 bed houses at Leslie Rise and 2 x 3 bed houses at Tynings Way. Two x 1 bed apartments at Southville Road, 2 x 2 bed houses and 1 x 3 bed house at Poulton.

These sites were previously derelict garages sites or unused land.

This development was jointly funded by Selwood Housing Group with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Wiltshire Council.

Kingston Mills

About the site

The Kingston Mills site is in the historic town centre of Bradford on Avon. Located opposite the Town Bridge it is the perfect location.

Bradford on Avon is a highly desirable place to live with specialist shops and delightful open air cafes and restaurants.  There are award-winning tea rooms, welcoming pubs and traditional shops all in easy reach.

Our development

Our scheme is made up of 51 homes spread over 5 buildings, QE, M, L, H & U. The homes are a mixture of one and two bedroom apartments. Building U has been renovated to provide 6 apartments. All homes were completed by August 2011.

Building L

This building comprises 8 two bedroom apartments and were our first Rent to HomeBuy apartments, they were completed in May 2011. 

The development was a joint venture between Linden Homes, Wiltshire Council, the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and ourselves.

New homes around Bradford on Avon

We built 20 affordable homes in Bradford on Avon in 2010.

The 20 homes are spread across Bradford on Avon in Widbrook View, Downavon, Southville Road, Highfield Road, Priory Close and at Poulton. The schemes are a mix of family sized homes and bungalows.

All schemes as a minimum are built to CSH3 and incorporate Lifetime Homes principles. The Poulton scheme is our first scheme built to CSH4.

We jointly funded the developments with the Homes & Communities Agency.


New bungalow

We also completed two two-bedroom bungalows at Tynings Way.  Work started on the new homes in May 2009 and was completed in 2010.

The design of the homes is of a high standard and the homes are being built to CSH3 and to Lifetime Homes principles.

We funded the development with the Homes & Communities Agency.
