Love where you live

Looking after your neighbourhood is important to us because we want you
be happy in your home and community.

So we’ve been working with the Housing Association’s Charitable Trust (HACT)
to create a profile for each of our 34 neighbourhoods. This tells us everything from local education levels and unemployment figures, to crime rates and whether residents have access to transport.

This information is being used to show how each of our neighbourhoods compare to each other.

Over the coming months we’ll use this neighbourhood index to target resources and funding from the Selwood Housing Group and our partners
into the communities that need it most.

Whether you’re a Selwood customer or an organisation that would like updates about  Neighbourhood Planning please drop us an email at

Every year we take a look at key information to see how our neighbourhoods are doing. Where we have concerns we can give issues or neighbourhoods priority or introduce local policies or services to help.

If there are many indicators causing concern in an area, we will work with local residents to develop and agree a full neighbourhood plan.

Read our Neighbourhood Management policy here.
