Anti-social behaviour scrutiny review

Policy review

What did we ask?

We asked our customers to review our policy on how we tackle reports of anti-social behaviour and to give us their recommendations for how we could improve the service.

We wanted to make sure that our policy was fair, accessible and informative.

What did our customers recommend?

Over 70 people gave us their views and gave us the following suggestions:

  • A policy with a clear and simple format.
  • A dedicated phone line for reporting anti-social behaviour.
  • Efficiency in terms of responding to calls quickly.

What did we do?

  • Added Plain English adjustments.
  • Added a “Community Trigger” section to our policy. This is used when someone has already reported an incident of antisocial behaviour but feels that the response has been inadequate.
  • Added a definition of hate crime.
