Love Your Garden competition 2025 – terms and conditions
Eligibility
The competition is open only to Selwood Housing customers who live within the 2025 priority neighbourhoods project areas lead by Shaun Church. Entrants must be aged 18 or over. The sunflower category is open to children with permission from a parent or guardian.
How to enter
To enter, send up to four photos (two “before” and two “after” shots) and a short summary of your garden project (max 500 words) to joy.abbott@selwoodhousing.com with the subject line “Love Your Garden”.
To enter the sunflower competition, submit a photo of the sunflower with your child in the photo if you are happy to include them and a short description. Please do not include identifiable details (e.g. names, school logos or home addresses) in children’s photos.
Entry limits
Only one entry per household per category is allowed.
Closing date
Entries must be received by 11:59pm on Sunday 7 September 2025. Entries received after this date will not be considered.
Judging
A panel of Selwood Housing staff and partners will shortlist entries based on photos and summaries. Final judging may include a visit to your garden. By entering, you agree that we may contact you to arrange a visit if shortlisted. The judges’ decision is final.
Prizes
The winner in each category will receive a £100 voucher to spend at Trowbridge Garden Centre.
The runner-up in each category will receive a £50 voucher to spend at Trowbridge Garden Centre.
The winner of the tallest sunflower competition will receive a family day out at Hope Nature Centre for 2 adults and 2 children.
All non-winning entries will be entered into a prize draw to win one of twelve £25 vouchers to spend at Trowbridge Garden Centre.
Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
Prizes will be delivered or collected by arrangement. Selwood Housing is not responsible for any lost or delayed deliveries.
Use of entries
By entering this competition, you give Selwood Housing permission to use your submitted photos and written summary on our website, social media, printed materials, and other publicity channels.
Photos that include children may also be used without separate permission. We will always handle these sensitively and will not include identifying information (such as names, schools, or addresses) alongside the images. If you do not wish for photos of your child to be used on Selwood Housing channels, please indicate this clearly in your submission.
All submitted photos will be stored securely on our systems and deleted no later than one month after the winners are announced.
Data protection

Changes or cancellation
Selwood Housing reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms at any time if necessary.
