On the evening of Saturday 18 April, a fire broke out at one of our properties, impacting two flats on the corner of Sangster Avenue and Milton Road in Melksham. Residents in both flats were able to evacuate safely. We appreciate the shock of such an incident for those impacted and the surrounding community. Our teams’ thoughts and actions right now are to provide necessary support.
Our colleagues attended the fire alongside the emergency services, to secure overnight accommodation where needed. We’d like to thank the work of the local emergency services and utility providers for their swift response to the incident and for supporting us to secure the building and make the area safe.
Our teams will now focus on supporting our customers impacted into temporary accommodation, whilst we establish the extent of the damage to the building.
