We are very pleased to announce that David Knight and Valerie Lee have joined the Selwood Housing Board as non-executive directors.
As a former partner at PwC, David has a strong track record of building and leading successful international business and digital transformation projects. He brings significant commercial and board advisory experience. Valerie has enjoyed an extensive career in retail, with director positions at Debenhams and Clarks and is on the Board of Plymouth Community Homes. Valerie also has substantial experience in leading digital transformation projects and property development.
Sheila Lewis, chair of the board said:
I’m delighted to welcome David and Valerie to the board.
Their skills and experience will strengthen our strategic ability, as we continue to build more local affordable homes for people in Wiltshire, Bath and North East Somerset and Mendip.
New roles strengthen the leadership team
In addition, two new roles have also been created within Selwood Housing Group’s leadership team to further align our strategic direction with the priorities in our strategy.
Ria Bristow has been appointed as group transformation and people director with responsibility for delivering our major projects including digital transformation. Verena Buchanan has been appointed as group operations director with responsibility for all front-line customer services.
Barry Hughes, group chief executive said:
A key part of our strategy is being easy to do business with. We want to further improve what and how we do things so we can deliver even better services for our customers.
Both Verena and Ria have been with Selwood Housing Group for some time and bring a wealth of experience to their new roles.
I am sure that they will both achieve great success working with the support of our brilliant team of local people.
