Three new roles available under the Kickstart Scheme

Three new jobs at Selwood Housing Group with the Kickstart Scheme

This year, Selwood Housing Group is delighted to be taking part in The Kickstart Scheme. This government-funded scheme, which was announced by the Chancellor last summer, enables employers to offer six-month paid jobs to young people aged 16-24 who are currently claiming universal credit.

It is predicted that the scheme will present thousands of job opportunities for young people over the next two years and will help many get started on their career journey by gaining valuable work experience.

As part of the Kickstart Scheme, Selwood Housing Group is opening up three new six-month roles; two data cleaning analyst positions and an involvement and communities assistant role.

Working as data cleaning analysts, the two successful candidates will be involved in the cleaning and validation of data, as well as assisting with analysing data and supporting continuous improvement of activities across the Group. Working in the involvement and communities team, the assistant will help to deliver the team's strategic objectives to involve residents and develop local communities, improve neighbourhoods and create a community that is vibrant and supports residents to make a difference.

Selwood Housing is encouraging anyone aged 16-24 in the local community, who is looking to kick-start their career, to apply.

Selwood Housing's Group HR Manager, Sallie-Anne Bown, said:

Selwood Housing Group is passionate about supporting the new kickstart scheme. Our company is all about delivering services within the local community, and Kickstart naturally ties in with that.  It's a chance to give others the opportunity to get into the world of work and gain some valuable experience. We are excited about bringing three new Kickstart colleagues into the business and look forward to helping them settle in and grow whilst they are with us.

Anyone interested in applying should speak to their Jobcentre work coach who can provide more information and details on how to apply. Deadlines for applications are 31 March 2021 with interviews for the three positions expected to take place on 16th and 17th April 2021.
